LSV Lech-Stahl Veredelung receives the ESG Transparency Award for the first time
‘EXCELLENCE’ award for forward-looking sustainability concept and transparency
The ESG Transparency Award 2025 shows that LSV Lech-Stahl Veredelung takes sustainability seriously as a strategic issue. Since its first sustainability report for the 2021 financial year, LSV has been working continuously on its sustainability reporting. Its successful participation in EUPD Research's cross-industry ESG Transparency Award is therefore a signal that it will continue on its path of credible and transparent sustainability communication. On its first participation, the company was awarded the highest rating of ‘EXCELLENCE’.
The ESG Transparency Award is based on the ESG Transparency Evaluation Standard developed by the renowned market research and consulting firm EUPD Research. Using a specially developed quality model for the scientific and practical evaluation of sustainability reports/ESG reports, the award assesses European companies in terms of their transparency and traceability in the area of sustainability (ESG: Environment, Social, Governance). In order to enable an analysis geared towards the interests of stakeholders, recognised frameworks are incorporated, e.g. the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the UN Sustainability Development Performance Indicators (UNSDPI), the proposals of the Voluntary Standard for Micro Enterprises (VSME), the EU taxonomy and other national and international initiatives.
In addition, the standard takes into account supplementary criteria for assessing communicative impact and comprehensibility.
The ‘EXCELLENCE’ category is awarded regardless of industry, company size or country of origin. LSV is therefore delighted that the company's own sustainability report has prevailed over other applicants in terms of ESG transparency.
Transparency note on the award:
Both the application process for the ESG Transparency Award and the receipt of the award are completely free of charge. We have deliberately decided not to charge for the use of the seal.
