Quality is the core of our quality steels
The continuous improvement of our products, processes and workflows is an ongoing task for all our staff at LSV Lech-Stahl Veredelung GmbH. In doing so, we consider not only product and process quality but also our use of energy and resources. Our integrated management system sets out the requirements and supports the systematic monitoring and improvement of our processes. It covers everything from materials testing through to certification. Quality is at the heart of our high-quality steels.
The DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management standard forms the basis of our quality management system. LSV Lech-Stahl Veredelung has been meeting the requirements of this standard for many years.
Furthermore, we meet the high quality standards of the automotive industry through certification in accordance with the IATF 16949 automotive standard. Having already been certified to the predecessor standards QS9000 and ISO TS 16949, compliance with and improvement of our system and process quality across the entire value chain is not only integrated into our processes but is actively practised by us.
Steel production and resource use
Steel production is energy-intensive. For this reason, monitoring and evaluating energy consumption, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement, are key components of our operational management.
As a subsidiary of Lech-Stahlwerke, we source steel that is smelted there in an electric arc furnace using recycled steel scrap. Steel scrap serves as a secondary raw material for steel production.
Our environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 and our energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 provide the framework for systematically recording and evaluating environmental aspects and energy use, and for deriving improvement measures.
